Supplier Selection And Appraisement Study Based On Collaborative Partner Relationship

Nowadays, one enterprise doesn't compete with another enterprise solely, but between their own supplier chains. In the future, enterprises will establish partnership with their suppliers and compete with their adversaries. The goal of this competition is to provide the fittest product and service at the fastest speed, lowest cost and great efficiency to the customers. Supplier selection and assessment is the most important loop in supplier management. We need to establish a set of supplier selection and assessment system which is scientific and reasonable to choose the right supplier and monitor their performance and continuously optimize our own supply chain.At first, this article clarifies the development trend of supplier chain and supplier relationship management(SRM) which illustrates the importance of supply partnership. The second, it points out shortages in enterprise implementation after studying the historic literature on supplier selection theory and method and adopts the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to establish the supplier selection system which illustrates the two stages of supplier selection: one is admittance qualification, the other is performance monitoring. Finally, it concludes the supplier selection and assessment process of FOXCONN with a case.
