With the knowledge economy era coming, knowledge workers become the main force of an organization, and they are also confronted with gigantic competition and challenge. The problem that initiated from occupational stress of the knowledge worker unceasingly makes itself into a new problem that H-R Management should study.Being relied on questionnaire this paper carries out empirical study on the occupational stress of knowledge worker. And, based on the sum-up and analysis of the available research, it proposes research thought and relevant hypothesis of this paper, carries out preliminary extraction and sizing of the occupational stressor of knowledge worker's by self-report analytical, and designs the questionnaire according to associating sizing stressor and reference acknowledged scale. Through using SPSS11.5, this paper made statistical analysis such as include fiducially test, validity test, description statistic, correlation analysis, canonical correlation analysis, multivariate stepwise regression and path analysis. The paper recognizes the stressor of knowledge worker, and makes an in-depth study on the relation among work manner, work performance, self-efficacy and organization support, in order to confirm a series of hypothesis. Thus, some stress release countermeasures are presented for organization and individual with this research.This paper draws conclusions as below through empirical study: The main stressors of knowledge worker are work commission, job background and atmosphere, professional development, human relations, organization structure and culture; The stress and work manner are negative correlation entirety, some dimensions have notable correlation, some individual and organization variables have remarkable effect on the correlation of occupational stress and work manner. Occupational stress and work performance have no conspicuity correlation. However, work manner and the performance present marked positive correlation. There is conspicuity typical correlation between occupational stress and work manner, and thecanonical factors are the working background and atmosphere, and the worker'working satisfaction which may effect on worker'work manner; Self-efficacy and perceived perceived organizational support put obvious interferential effect on worker stress and worker manner. Some variables such as occupational stress, work manner self-efficacy and organization support are able to affect knowledge worker's work performance directly or indirectly.Finally, we hope the research could provide forceful demonstration for knowledge worker's stress management.
