Application Research Of Web-based Project Management System In ASP Mode

Recently, the basic theory of web-based project management has became mature, however, as the application of WPMS (web-based project management system) went through, people found that the performance of such systems were still lag far behind previous expectation. The unsuccessful application in some cases result in the waste of people and resources, even has affect on the whole project management. So, it's necessary to pay more attention to the study of how to implement a WPMS successfully, where only focus on the concept and function of the system previously. In this context, by studying the application of WPMS in the pattern of ASP as a break through, this paper discussed how to implement a WPMS successfully in a construction project. The scope of this paper is as follows:1) Analyzed the concept and function of WPMS, as well as the relationship of WPMS application pattern and PM-ASP, then list some primary PM-ASP products at present.2) Full-scale analyzed PM-ASP application environment affecting factors, set up evaluation model of it's application environment.3) Illustrated the whole process of PM-ASP application, analyzed it's organizational environment and system selection method, then gave the methodology of how to improve and evaluate the PM-ASP application.4) Analyzed a fully successful PM-ASP application from different aspect, such as implementation process, application environment affecting factors and the overall performance of the application, and then summarizes it's successful experience.
