| The project management maturity model (Project Management Maturity Model, PMMM) is one kind of method and tool of appraising and improving own project management level to be used for project management organization. It shows the ability that a organization implement project successfully and reliably according to the predetermined project target and condition, it has provided one kind of the tool of developing the project management ability, it is a process that guide the project management ability which develop from low level to high level and project success rate improves unceasingly. With the aid of the project management maturity model, the organization may establish a series of standards, uses in to distinguish the weak link exist in management process, and through the solution of very important question to improves the management level to form the whole improvement strategy.Because the core thought of project management maturity model is the process idea of facing the process, the project management maturity mainly carries on the weight with the project management process ability. This article first introduced the process concept, next elaborated the difference between the project management process and the project realization process, from this has drawn out the project management maturity model concept and introduced the current most popular several kind of maturities model, emphased on introduce the organization project management maturity model (Organizational Project Management Maturity Model, OPM3).
