Research On The Sustainable Use Of Inner Mongolia Coal Resources

As a kind of unrenewable resources, the sustainable use of coal is a big issue faced by people. Chairman Hu Jintao emphasized that the whole party and the whole society should obey the scientific development view, and realize the importance and impendence of building a energy-saving and environment friendly society, and make the greatest efforts with greatest determination to work on energy-saving issue.The research on sustainable development mainly focuses on the sustainable use of ShanXi province and the direction for which the sustainable development of coal industry develops. While the research on coal resources of Inner Mongolia is relatively of a small amount.The coal output of Inner Mongolia, the north end of China, has reached 301 million tons per year, and 160 million tons are transferred to other places of China. Inner Mongolia is now an important energy base of China. Coal occupies the greatest part of energy structure of production and consumption of Inner Mongolia. Inner Mongolia is the largest pasture of China, and also serves as the shelter for north China. According to prospecting, the pasture is the place where coal resources are abundant. The exploration will do some harm on the environment, so the research on the sustainable use will be important not only for Inner Mongolia, but also for China.In the paper, the author introduces the theoretical basis, points out that scientific development view is the guidance of the study, analyzes the conception and essence of the sustainable development and also the application of the theory in sustainable use of energy. Based on this, the author gives the concept of the sustainable use of Inner Mongolia coal resources. The paper also includes the present state of exploration and use of Inner Mongolia coal resources. And aiming at the problems found in coal exploration and use, in-depth analysis is made on the reasons causing these problems. The biggest achievement, in the author's opinion, is the design of the sustainable use system of Inner Mongolian coal resources. Within the system, theauthor puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions on the improvement of the situation.Based on the achievements of precursors, the author makes in-depth analysis on the following issues, and finally comes to some conclusions. According to sustainable development theory and the characteristics of sustainable use of energy, the concept of sustainable use of coal resources of Inner Mongolia is given. The author investigates the problems of sustainable use of coal resources of Inner Mongolia, and analyzes the reasons from four aspects. The author also designs a system of sustainable use of Inner Mongolia coal resources with three objects: development, harmony and substantiality.
