Discussing Status Of Chinese Manufacturing Industry Under Contemporary Worldwide Division Structure

Since the trade white book of Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry called China "world factory" in 2001, the argument about "China-world factory" emerged in endlessly. Standing different positions and angles, both domestic and abroad economists, scholars release their opinions in the form of thesis and books, so that a furious discussion was triggered at the beginning of 21 century. Omnifarious conclusions bring a series of thinking, for instance, what kind of influence the new international environment made to China manufacturing industries, whether the international competitive status of manufacturing industries has been improved and so on. In order to answer the above questions, this paper will begin with the origin of "world factory", introduce the various of opinions and views from both domestic and abroad economic experts and medias, and then set up the main structure of this paper. Besides putting forward the own opinion about this question "whether China is the world factory?", this paper will put emphasis on the expatiation of "the real situation of China manufacturing industries" and "the status of China manufacturing industries under the new worldwide division structure".This paper will endow the "world factory " with new meanings under new economic background of globalization, thereafter, turn to the description of real situation of China manufacturing industries. First of all, analyze the achievement of China manufacturing industries in the term of developing speed and scale, the export scale, and the producing capacities and output, meanwhile, point out the distance between China manufacturing industries and the contemporary advanced manufacturing industries in the term of the export percentage in global manufacture, the export structure, technology, brand and enterprise. After that, combining with the new meanings of "world factory" and the trait of contemporary worldwide division, make primary analysis to the division status of China manufacturing industries, whereafter make a exact estimation to the international competitiveness of China manufacturing industries in the way of positive analysis, this positive analysis will be used to prove the pre-result of international division status. Finally, this paper will submit the suggestions for future developing of China manufacturing industries, that is, heighten the division status.This paper combines positive analysis with inducing and deducting analysis, focus on the approach of positive analysis, and collect the up to date materials and data , so that the final conclusion could be more persuasive and creditable.
