Under the progress of globalization, this paper intends to discuss the global strategies of Toyota Motor Corporation and Haier Group. After explaining their global strategies'backgrounds, the developments and global visions of these two companies, a comparison between these two companies is illustrated. As to global strategies, four similarities such asâ‘ Having broad strategic view,â‘¡Having strong consciousness of crisis,â‘¢Sharing corporate ideology and values,â‘£Attaching much importance to localization are given in detail in this paper. When the methods to develop global strategy and venture spirits are mentioned, there are still big differences between Toyota and Haier. Toyota usually develops itself in a'slow first and speed up later'way, while Haier is always focusing on'speed'as its only competing domination and has been developing extremely fast. Toyota is said to be very conservative and that it never extends its global business in deficit.However, Haier is adventurous and has a lot of debts in order to develop fast and globally. Chinese companies are expected to learn from Toyota and Haier as follows. Four suggestions are given to Chinese companies in this paper, which will be helpful to the globalization and overall development of Chinese companies.â‘ establishing corporate ideology,â‘¡making strategy clearly,â‘¢sticking to details,â‘£having concern for world resources and environment.
