Research On The Development Of Automobile Service Cluster

With the rapid and healthy development of the national economy, the automobile industry in China has been developing very fast. China now is the fourth largest automobile manufacturer in the world. However, the automobile service concerning sales, finance, culture and so on is still at its opening stage and can not meet the growing demand of the automobile market.Organized by the car enterprises dealing in the entire car sales, maintenance, fittings, automobile insurance and drive training, guided and fostered by the relevant policy from the government, the automobile service industry on Daming Road in Nanjing has formed a service cluster covering a wide scope of automobile service. This thesis, based on field survey, applying the Porter case analysis and the"DIAMOND MATRIX"theory, demonstrates the preliminary formation of Nanjing Daming Road automobile service cluster by means of proof analysis. Nowadays, Nanjing Daming Road automobile service cluster has produced an initial cluster effect of external economy and elementary combined action, which extends to the whole city of Nanjing and neighboring provinces around Jiangsu. However, the scope and connotation of automobile service industry that Nanjing Daming Road automobile service cluster involves are still far too narrow. There still exist problems such as the incompleteness of its continuable development mechanism, the lag of the construction of its supporting system, the lower level of its internationalization, the poor external environment and the insufficient planning and coordination from the government.
