Research On The Strategies Of Constructing The IS Adaptable To Demand Changes

Developing an Information System(IS) always faces the problem of demand changes, the software product is a model of the physical world, however, the physical world always keeps changing, so it is important to maintain the software in order to keep it catch up with the changes of physical world. In the marketing economy, the enterprise that stops growing will die, it should evolve itself to develop market, but the environment is more and more unstable, the evolution of the technology will be faster, so the demand will change more quickly, the IS in future should has some ability of adapting demand changes. This article analyzes the importance of adaptation to demand changes in the IS and the factors which cause the demand changes. It also presents some strategies in terms of software clients and supply companies. I hope this thesis will provide some reference value for the enterprise informatization.This article do some studies on constructing the IS adaptable to demand changes based on some management and information technologies theories including IS demand theory, life cycle model theory.Firstly, some basic theories are introduced; such as IS demand theory and life cycle model theory, including build and fix model, waterfall model, incremental model, prototype model and spiral model and so on.Secondly, the contradiction between the enterprise dynamic development and static business process in the IS development is be indicated, the importance of adapting demand changes is analyzed in the terms of cost. It is proved that the IS in future should adapt demand changes in some level by analyzing the expense of each phase in the life cycle of the IS.Thirdly, the cause to demand changes is analyzed in detail and classed to three factors: the demand changes caused by enterprise development, the hidden demands and inaccurate requirements analyses, the flexibility of the system design.Finally, the thesis presents some strategies based on management measures and information technologies including design pattern, B/S, C/S and so on in terms of software clients and supply companies.
