New Product Research & Development (R&D) is one of the most important activities of enterprise, the key way to be innovative and to get and maintain advantage in competition. All enterprises, which focus on future development and maintaining competitive advantage, must improve their R&D competitiveness. On the whole, all business are facing such a fact that product are becoming more and more complicated, product's life-time is shortening, customer-made product are more and more popular, prices are lowering, the competition would be more severe with the economic globalization, in this case, the design quality and speed of R&D are becoming the powerful weapon to defeat the competitors in the market.R&D team plays key role in the process of product development, the key to guarantee the success of the project, and R&D team contributes a lot to the final outcome of development as well. Famous master of management, Peter Drucker said"Modern enterprise not only belongs to employer and employee, instead, belongs to a team."The competition among the enterprises boils down to the competition among the staffs. Being a manager, he would have a hard time to survive in escalating competition if he only focuses on personal success; only if the team is successful then successful is the enterprise. So, how to make sure that we would be successful, that is how to develop a productive R&D team?This article researches on the management of R&D team, in order to find a way to develop a productive team, especially focuses on the communication, conflict and motivation. And this article applies the theories of R&D team management based on the problem that DB Company is meeting in his R&D team management, coming up with the suggestive solutions for the problems and then the conclusions of research at the end.This article consists of 5 chapters:Chapter one: mainly introduces the situation of DB Company R&D and R&D team management, meanwhile points out the problems that DB Company is facing.Chapter two: analyzes the communication and coordination of R&D teammanagement based on the problems that DB Company is meeting, and put forward relative solutions.Chapter three: comes up with the solution on how to develop team spirit after flattening organization structure.Chapter four: points out the motivation flaws of DB Company and researches on motivation, then suggests on the optimal motivation method for DB Company.Chapter five: the research conclusions and suggestions.
