With the rapid development of economy, rapid increased income of residents, consumption level and demand of residents become higher and higher. Shopping is not only replenishment, but also a way to leisure, so large-scale shopping mall emerges, which are integrity of tour, shopping, leisure, entertainment and restaurant. Its method is different from traditional department store, even more it's different from traditional real estate development in planning, attracting merchants, scheme & design, development & construction, operation& management, so it owns particular flow and method. This business mode has been introduced to China only for 10 years, so we have to learn lots of experience.This article aims at expatiating on some basic requirements of successful operation of shopping mall with development and cases of shopping mall. On the basis of this theory, it analyzes the operation of Chongqing Dijing Mall Business Park project. It includes five chapters:Chapter I introduce the emergence and development of shopping mall. It mainly introduces the concept, development, the latest development trend of shopping mall and development current situation & problems in China. Summarize the conditions of successful management of shopping mall through case study.Chapter II analyze the background of Chongqing Dijing Mall Business Park project and to reach a conclusion of business orientation and construction plan and found the opportunity and threat of this project according to SWOT analysis.Chapter III make a concrete investment analysis according to the above construction plan and to draw a conclusion that the project investment has high profit.Chapter IV make concrete operational risk analysis of this project. Counted breakeven point and put forward corresponding measures after analyzes operational risk.Chapter V summarize current situation and anticipation of this project by the end of March 2006.
