A Study For Management Of Electronics Manufacturing Outsourcing In China

In the past century, outsourcing has been recognized to be a tool to improve enterprise's core competence in supply chain and to avoid business risk effectively. In the recent decade, outsourcing has developed fast in the electronics manufacturing in China.This paper focus on the operation of outsourcing which comes from some detailed aspects. On the basis of reading lots of domestic and overseas literature, we have summed up a set of feasible method of decision making and management for outsourcing in order to provide some experience for outsourcing enterprises as well as the vendor, which we think have practical application.In the first part, we take a brief look at the general situation of world and Chinese outsourcing business in the field of electronics manufacturing in the paper, also study the definition, business type and basic theory.Secondly, through the current situation of the electronics manufacturing outsourcing in China, analyze the strategy of some international EMS in China and the Chinese enterprises'current situation in electronics manufacturing in details, and consequently expatiate the challenges and problems that Chinese EMS has to face.Thirdly, deeply discuss the process and method for outsourcing decision making. On one hand, put forward a systematic and mechanical process of decision making which includes the implementation approach; On the other hand, analyze in details the method for outsourcing vendor identification and selection.Lastly, based on the Chinese OEM & EMS'current situation, summarize a set of management system in five aspect for electronics manufacturing outsourcing, which I think has practical value for OEM&EMS supply chain management.
