The Development Of Regional Trade Agreement In The World And China's Strategy Adjustment

Since the end of 1990s, the third regional economic integration wave was set off in the world wide featured by the large formation of regional trade agreements. Formulating regional trade agreement to push the economic integration has been the major feature of the development of international trade relations. More and more countries put the regional economic cooperation the same place to or more important place than the multilateral trade system. Under this background, regardless of protecting our interest or complying with the regional economic integration wave in the world, it's necessary for China to attend or propose to establish regional economic cooperation organizations.This paper aimed to analyze China's RTA in the regional economic integration tide firstly analyzed the main trends, characteristics, and driven factors of the formation of RTA in the world; Secondly elaborated the process and the meaning of China's regional economic cooperation strategy adjustment, summarized the achievement of China on RTA, analyzed the characteristics and the shortness of China's RTA.; finally pointed out China should formulate the overall strategy of FTA, pay more attention to the study on the RTA, and strength the economic competition to push the development of China's RTA.
