An Analysis Of China's Textile Export-Problems, Causes And Solutions.

This paper presents an analysis of the Chinese Textile Industry its exports and the problems it faces in the market.The discussions are divided into three parts. First, we present the general profile of Chinese Textile Industry with an emphasis on its textile products and performance in the domestic market.Secondly, we endeavor to identify the problems facing the Chinese textile trade in the international market as compared to developed countries. The paper dwells on eminent problems such as poor designing, lack of workmanship, declining material quality and currency related issues that significantly hamper the Chinese Textile Export market.Another aspect of study is the retaliatory efforts and measures adopted by importing countries to limit importation of Chinese textiles.Finally, upon in-depth analysis of Chinese textile market, we propose some policy measures which are aimed at improving the present status quo of the Chinese textile industry.We propose that the Chinese government adopt several measures to improve its textile industry's outlook in the international market through continued emphasis on product quality through research and development and favorable industry growth policies.
