Study Of The Interactive Mode Between Tourism Development And Culture Protection In Western Ethnic District

In the process of implementing Western China Development Strategy, many western ethnic districts develop local tourism resources and take tourism industry as an important method to realize the district development and benefit a lot from tourism. But the powerful culture outside and market economic rules influent the traditional culture in the ethnic district, which weaken the character of ethnic culture and reduce its charm in the tourist market gradually, and therefore the tourism resources can't be shared by different generations and the tourism development, as well as the development of the whole district economic, is unsustainable. To solve the contradiction between tourism development and ethnic culture protection and to fulfill the sustainable development of western ethnic district, this research deeply analyze the objective rules of culture development in the western ethnic area by some related theories, such as anthropology, modernization, tourism planning, community participation, and create an innovative interactive mode between tourism development and culture protection. By separating dominant culture and recessive culture and protecting them differently, this mode can solve the contradiction between tourism development and ethnic culture protection effectively and use the strength of both culture change and protection to push the development of western ethnic district.
