This thesis intends to explore the way that local people deal with tourism exploration and the influence and inspiration produced by it.In the trend of modern tourism exploration, villages have been a hot tour destination, but some problems, such as villagers' position and how to protect their rights and interests during the exploration, have not yet well solved. However, villagers of Jin Tang have displayed full autonomy facing their local tour resources exploration. They are no longer regarded as the object of exploration, but have been the designer as well as implementer, continuing to dominate their own village. Such "villagers-dominant" way to some extend reduces the influence of tourism exploration on local places. It also corresponds with the new trend of tourism development both home and abroad. It is the best way to deal with the relationship between culture inheritance and tourism exploration. It is hoped that this research would provide some experiences and inspiration to the future tourism exploration in other regions. The thesis, based on empirical materials, combines the subjective and objective and conducts a dynamic research from the angle of both researcher and research object to analyze villagers—the dominant role in village tourism exploration in the perspective of folklore and anthropology. There are five chapters in this thesis. The first chapter explains the rational and significance of the topic, research perspective and methodology, relevant research on local people in tour destination, and an overview of domestic research on Village Jin Tang. The second chapter describes in detail the process of tourism exploration in Village Jin Tang since 2003 and the capital that contributed to that process. The third chapter expounds the component of villagers after approaching the local tourism exploration, the relationship between villagers and other social roles in the process of exploration. The fourth chapter displays how villagers in Jin Tang give their full play to create new tour festivals and to transform traditional festivals to new ones through the description of a specific scene—festival. The last chapter discusses what the best way is to exploit tourism in Village Jin Tang from the villagers' angle and give some suggestions.
