Changdao Pattern

A subject propagated by China National Tourism Administration in 2006 was "China Rural Tourism Year" . The slogan was " the new country , the new tour, the new experience, the new fashion" . All these were energetically pushing forward and carrying out the rural tourism.The rural tourism is managed by the peasants, and it takes distinctive folk custom and national culture as soul . The concrete content of the rural tourism is "living in the farmhouse , having dinner with peasants, doing farm work , enjoying rural life" . It embodies the natural plain rural characteristic sufficiently and satisfies visiters by enjoying rural landscape , returning simple life. The rural tourism has got great development in recent years and has a lot of management patterns in practice. But it needs to be proved that which management pattern will have a great progress and what are the advantages and disadvantages of different patterns.Tourism has been the important industry in Changdao for a long time. But on the early time sightseeing took the great part of the tourism. In 1999 Changdao government began to manage the "fisherman' s family tourism" . At present, the "fisherman' s family tourism" has already been famous to visitors and has become a model to the same kind of other tourism products. In the "Changdao Pattern" , at first the government brought forward the name of the "fisherman' s family tourism" , and then fishermen managed by themselves according to the rules made by the government. On the one hand the government should lead and make rules, on the other hand fishermen have full authority in management. Henceforth, the other villages began to develop the "fisherman' s family tourism" . And they showed diversities from one village to others according to different management patterns. For the gradually fierce competition of a lot of the same kind tourism products, the thesis focuses on that what is the the advantage and disadvantage of the "Changdao Pattern" and whether it can bring enduring motive to the development of Changdao tourism. It is hoped that the study can contribute to Changdao tourism and rural tourism.The thesis divides into six parts. The introduction is to explain the research background, the logic of the thesis and research method. Part II is to sum up the development of rural tourism and different management patterns. Part III is to summarize the development of the "fisherman' s family tourism" in Changdao. And then the following parts are to explain .analysis and appraise the "Changdao Pattern" . The final part is the conclusion and expectation of this thesis.
