Export Status Evolvement And Economic Performance Of Private Enterprises

Zhejiang province has witnessed rapid economic growth and the great development of the private economy. Over 20 years in the Reform and Opening-up, Zhejiang private enterprises have made tremendous contributions to the sustained, stable and health development of the provincial economy under the national economy system reform and market integration process. With the remarkable increasing in the provincial export trade, private enterprises havs been the vital export force and engaged in the international competitive, which impulse the development of the provincial economy.This thesis focuses on the development of the private enterprises' export trade in Zhejiang province and its institution motivity and trade-led economic performance. The thesis makes a systematic study on the private enterpeises' status evolvement among the provincial export forces as well as its developing characteristics with further comprehensive analysis upon the regional export trade development imbalance in Zhejiang province. Integrating entry barriers studies in the Theory of Industrial Organization, institution evolvement theory in New Insitutional Economics, Regional Economics and Modern Export Theory, the thesis continues to make deep analysis upon the institution motivity and developing mechanism of the export development of private enterprises, pointing that the private enterpeises' status change results from two ways of institution change namely the mandatory institutional change with government entry barrier decreasing and the causative institutional change with internal institution innovation of private enterpeises; such factors as region advantage, factor endowment, special industry markets and reginal economy structure together lead to the export development imbalance of private enterprises amony different cities in Zhejiang.Then the thesis introduce export and GDP variables to build panel data models using eleven cities' statistical data of Zhejiang Province, and makes empirical studies upon the influences the private enterpeises' exports on the city total exports and GDP. By fore-and-aft comparing from development periods view and the traverse comparison with different ownership enterprises, the thesis analyzes the private enterprises' export strength and existing restraints. In the end, this thesis proposes suggestions from the government, medi-orgnization and enterprise level according to the above study coclusitions about the private enterprises' export trade.
