With the increasing rigid market competition, the enterprise management is required to make quicker response to the market. More interrelated finance and business information are needed nowadays because the enterprise's decision-making is becoming more and more complicated. The current enterprise's information system has been outdated and can't meet the present competition and the desire of increasing enterprises' profit. As a result, it needs to be improved urgently for the purpose of increasing profit.The paper takes the improvement of bank's management information system as its main concern. Many methods employed such as the application of organizational structure chart, the management operation flow chart, CSF, chart of CRUD etc... The organizational structure chart depicts the enterprise's basic structure, represents its characteristics and introduces the obligors involved in the enterprises' management information system and the organizational structure of the department of information system management. The management operation flow chart displays enterprise's the fundamental flows of credit service, accounting service, deposit service and total of accounting report forms etc... The method of CSF makes an analysis of the management's requirement for the information system, and the chart of CRUD builds up the specific data operating rights and duties for the key departments of data. The guiding principle combining theory with practice is adopted in the paper. Aiming at the problems the enterprise is encountering and combining the ideas of systematic management, Business Process Reengineering theory and some interrelated ideas, the theoretical research of the paper strives to work out a sound integrated design and implementing project of management information system which is customers-based, supporting decision-making and covering all enterprise's functional departments. On the basis of the empirical research, the theoretical research analyzes and explores the whole process of the improvement of enterprise's system, emphatically making an analysis of the function and the overall formation of the management information system, the design of process improvement, the management of IT Department, the management of data quality, implementing strategies, key implementing stages, system's evaluation and staff's training etc... In the end, the writer proposes some key points concerning the successful operation of the information system that supports the management and decision-making. Those points are also the issues that the enterprises, which need the help of the information system for their management, should pay more attention to.The writer has an elementary discussion on the information system which supports the management and decision-making in the paper, and the information system will serve as a model and reference for the fellow-enterprises to improve their information system.
