Research On Business Philosophy Of Businessmen From ChaoShan Region With Case Study Of Li Ka-Shing And Huang Guang Yu's Business Philosophy

By reviewing the relative literature and describing the actuality in China, this paper raises twoquestions based on the theory of firm and entrepreneur, theory of corporate culture, businessphilosophies of famous entrepreneurs. The first question is, what's the trait of Chinese businessphilosophies, and what're the differences between Chinese business philosophies and the western? Andthe second question is, why businessmen from ChaoShan region are so successful, and what kinds ofbusiness philosophies urge them to their achievement? Further more, this paper will analyze what're thedifferences between ChaoShan's businessmen from mainland and oversea. The 40 papers on LiKa-Shing's business philosophies, the 23 papers on HuangGuangYu's business philosophies and the 25papers on business philosophies of other businessmen in China are served as the three parts of theresearch samples. In addition, all the papers are published in Chinese journals and website. Weemployed both the qualitative open coding and the qualitative factor analysis to the three samplesrespectively, so as to develop the pilot scales of business philosophies of ChaoShan's businessmen. Andthen we utilized correspondence analysis to explore both the similarities and the differences between theChaoShan's businessmen and other traditional businessmen in China.The study draws such conclusion thereinafter. Firstly, they both recognize the business philosophiesmainly from the perspectives of philosophies on exploitation, investment and creativity. Secondly, in thecognition of the philosophies on exploitation and investment, all the samples are in common ground,however the Li Ka-Shing's business philosophies pay more attention to the responsibility for society andvalue in management, while HuangGuangYu's business philosophies pay more focus more on creativity,especially in business mode, and the business philosophy of other businessmen in China focus muchmore on responsibility for society.Base on the research conclusions, and doing a sum-up on the characteristic of business philosophyof businessmen from ChaoShan region, this paper eventually presented several suggestions on thecountermeasure against the existing problems in private enterprise in China.
