The Comparing Study On The Supportive System Of Technology Innovation For SMEs Between China And UK

Innovation is the impetus and roots for the development of the enterprises, and enterprises are the motivation for the innovation. Compared with the big enterprises, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are of larger amount, higher efficiency, lower period and less cost. In some sense, it is impossible to achieve the goal of innovative country without the whole improvements of the innovation capability of SMEs.Due to the uncertainty of inner techniques, markets, benefits distribution and the policy environment, SMEs face a lot of obstacles during the period of innovation. Restrained by the congenital conditions, SMEs can not solve these problems by themselves, so there is an urgent need to draw on the attention of the whole society, to gain the government's active promotion and the support, and to attract the participation of relevant social forces. As a result, we should establish an innovation supportive system for SMEs, and make the economy develop steadily.China's SMEs innovation supportive system is still at the stage of beginning, so it is far from perfect and of many drawbacks in many respects, needs to be improved as soon as possible. From this aspect, the article found out the shortcomings and the problems of our innovation supportive system through the comparative study of the Sino-British SMEs innovation supportive system. With the successful experience of the United Kingdom, it proposed the advice for the improvements of the SMEs innovation supportive system, aiming to stimulate the development of SMEs innovation.
