The more deeply the electricity reform goes on, the more severely the competition environment becomes for the generation enterprise. Making competitiveness evaluation of power plants is an important portion in competitiveness evaluation research of power plants, which is a summarizing of former performance, and it is the scientific base for future developing emphasis and direction. Competitiveness evaluation in power plants is helpful for to find its orientation in the power market, make the effective competition strategy, and improve its own competitiveness. And it's also significant for power plants'economic benefit, exist and development. In this paper, the system of evaluating indexes is established scientifically, and together with analytical hierarchy process determining the weights of the indexes, using multilevel matter-element analysis model to calculate the evaluated numeric value, which makes the evaluated numeric value more objectively.
