The Third Party Logistics Enterprise Competitiveness Evaluation Research In Our Country

Third-party logistics is an important part of the modern logistics industry. With the rapid development of modern logistics, third-party logistics market is growing fast and highly competitive. With the factors of foreign third-party logistics enterprises tying their foothold in China, high cost, low enterprise management level and the European debt crisis, China’s third-party logistics enterprises are facing a severe situation. They need to understand their level of competitiveness, and find ways to enhance their competitiveness, in order to achieve their sustainable development. In this case, the thesis did some research on the competitiveness of the third-party logistics enterprises in China.Firstly, the thesis reviewed the theory of competitiveness of enterprises and third-party logistics. Then it made a presentation of the definition, function and sort of third-party logistics. Secondly, the thesis analyzed the external environment of the third-party logistics enterprises in China by PEST model and pointed out its competitive advantages and disadvantages. Thirdly, the thesis put forward the connotation of third-party logistics enterprise competitiveness and built evaluation index system for the evaluation of third-party logistics enterprise competitiveness. Then it used two evaluation methods-linear comprehensive evaluation method which based on improved AHP and matter element analysis method to evaluate four TPL enterprises of Linyi City which called "The Capital of China’s Logistics". Finally, the thesis put forward some countermeasures to enhance the competitiveness of TPL enterprises from the government and businesses two angles.The thesis’s research on the competitiveness of the third-party logistics enterprises in China can provide some reference to our TPL enterprises for understanding and nurturing their competitiveness and to the other enterprises for the evaluation of their competitiveness.
