The Changing And Trend Research Of The East Asia Regional Specialization System

Before the economic crisis in 1997, the rapid growth of east-Asia has been paid more attention for a long time. There are some exquisite and influencing theories about east-Asia pattern, including the FG(flying geese)model,which not only generalized the developing process of east-Asia, but also deeply analyzed the inward system, the changing course and the effects on these countries (areas). During the development course in dozens of years, east-Asia countries (areas), had transformed on economic and competitive strength. The trade and assignment pattern had changed accordingly. Because of these changes and setback, the researchers doubted the existence of FG model. So the model should be generalized and investigated once again.In this thesis, the author tried to give new recount and analysis about the base of FG model. Three questions have been emphasized: the formation of FG model, the influence on east-Asia and the examination to FG model nowadays.There are three parts in it. The preface put forward the motive, necessities and the intentions.The first part is the former theories and framework."Relative advantage"and"life-circle of product"theory make up the basis supporting FG model. Then the definitions of FG model from some researchers are displayed.A lot of analyses that demonstrate FG model are summarized. On this basis the author pose the analysis method, including the index (RCA index and Spearman Rank Correlation, etc).the condition of east-Asia is testified through trade and FDI analyses, whose criterion is the existence and transference of the relative advantage.The second parts are the review of the history about some narration of the formation, the transform of industry structure, especially transforms of the backward countries (areas).The third parts are the analysis and testify to FG model before and after the periods of Economic Crisis of east-Asia. At first describes the infulence to the model because of the factors of east-Asia. Some comparison is made between the recession of Japan, NIES and the prosperity of China. The change of China's position is accurately detailed. Regression method is used to testify this model. At last, the thesis endeavors to forecast the development tendency of the east-Asia.
