Research On The Automobile Industrial Cluster In Yangtze Delta Area

Industrial cluster, a worldwide phenomenon, is a systematic industrial community like a Biological organism with many relative enterprises and institutions centralizing together in a certain region based on some economic relationship. Pushed by the globalization, Industry clustering is becoming a more and more outstanding phenomenon. Its Competitiveness rises from scale-effect, cluster-effect and innovation-effect, and it brings much efficiency in optimizing the industry organization, promoting specialized labor division and cooperation, solving the social employment problem and environment problem, especially important for developing countries dealing with the relationship between globalization and localization. Accordingly, the regional development theory is transiting from the gradient shifting theory and growth poles theory to industrial cluster theory. Also, The regional development strategy is transiting from single enterprise development strategy and industrial structure strategy to industrial chain and cluster strategy.This paper first shows the main connotation and the related theory of industrial clusters, and also analyzes both the superiority of automobile industrial cluster and the condition of automobile industry at home and abroad, then pointed the importance and necessity of automobile's industrial cluster.Secondly, the author analyzes the situation and competitiveness of Yangtze Delta's automobile industry, and based on Michael porter's diamond model theory, the advantages of automobile industrial cluster in Yangtze Delta was discussed. Simultaneously, used the location quotient which was used to distinguish the industrial cluster in western to analysis that the Yangtze Delta's automobile industrial cluster has already existed. Thirdly, on the research of industrial cluster's competitiveness and the basic principle of indexes' designing,the multi-level comprehensive evaluation model was set up and the demonstration analysis to the competitiveness of Yangtze Delta was carried on. Then analyzed the weakness. Lastly, on the basis of the evaluation system and evaluation result, suggestions and promotion tactics of the competitiveness of Yangtze Delta's automobile industrial cluster was studied.
