The economical globalization has already became an irreversible trend of world economics development at present, and has brought significant development opportunities for all countries. With the world economics blending together, the production internationalization unceasing enhanced and the production elements also frequently diverted among the countries day by day. Under this economical globalization background, the processing trade complied with this historical trend and became one of the main forms of the contemporary international division of labor and the international trade.After China carried out reform and open policy, the processing trade made a considerable progress. It has become one of the main way of foreign trade, and greatly accelerated our country's economy development. But the layout of our country's processing trade has been extremely unbalanced for a long time. It is much more concentrated in the eastern area than the western area. With the concrete implementation of the big western development strategy gradually deepening, Xinjiang should catch this opportunity, speed up the processing trade development step, promote economy development of Xinjiang.This article explained the related basic theory of processing trade, elaborated the importance and necessity of developing processing trade of Xinjiang. Through quantity and comparative analysis method, from qualitative and quota angle and with collection, reorganization, analysis of Xinjiang's nearly five years processing trade development data, the article comprehensively systematically and deeply analyzed the present situation and existing problem of processing trade development and elaborated the effect which processing trade development of Xinjiang produced to economy increasing and technology improvement. Moreover, in view of the present situation, the article proposed related policy suggestions how to improve processing trade through taking the successful experience of processing trade development inside and outside China.
