Research On The Social Security Of The Farmers Deprived Of Lands In Chongqing Campus City

Farmers deprived of lands are the farmers who lost their lands because of urbanization and industrialization, which is normal social phenomena, occurred certainly during the urbanization process of a county. How to solve the social security problems of the farmers deprived of lands after their lands are expropriated is crucial to the prosperous and stable rural society, and also is important to accelerate the stable development of the urbanization. The author investigated their social security status in order to explore the ways to solve their difficult positions, which could promote the smooth construction and harmonious society building of campus city and assure its social stability.This dissertation contains six chapters, which are'Introduction','Present situation of social securtity of the farmers deprived of lands','Causes analysis of social security issues of the farmers deprived of lands in the campus city','References and experiences of dealing with the social security issues of the farmers deprived of lands at home and abroad','Suggestions and countermeasures to the establishment of social security for the farmers deprived of lands in campus city'and'Conclusion'.In the Chapter'Introduction', this research's origin, importance and methods are briefed and a review of the researches and theoretical bases on farmers deprived of lands home and abroad is also presented in this chapter.In chapter two, general information of the campus city is presented and based on the field investigations, the basic characteristics, living status, employment, endowment, medical problems, children's education and psychological changes of the farmers deprived of lands, and the demolishing and resettlement of campus city are described in this chapter.In the chapter"Causes analysis of social security issues of the farmers deprived of lands in the campus city", common problems faced by them are similar to the farmers deprived of lands in other regions. These problems of unemployment after land loss, decline of incomes and living standard, uncertain social security after lands loss, unsatisfied with the allocation of the compensation for land expropriation and the inconvenience in the resettlement area are described. Furthermore, the causes are analyzed from the aspects of the absence of the social security functions of lands and prevailing compensation policy for the land expropriation, construction of public facilities and public management level in the demolishing and resettlement area of Chongqing Campus City and unawareness and low social security rate of the lost lands farmers in the Chongqing Campus City.In the chapter of"References and experiences of dealing with the social security issese of the farmers deprived of lands at home and abroad", the social security system at home and abroad is introduced and the practice of constructing the social security system for the farmers deprived of lands in other regions of China. And the inspiration for the social security issues of the farmers lost lands in Chongqing Campus City are summarized in this chapter.In the chapter of suggestion and countermeasures, the dissertation points out the suggestions and countermeasures for the establishment of the social security system for the farmers deprived of lands in the Chongqing Campus City from two aspects: a sustainable employment assurance system and special fund for the farmers deprived of lands in the Chongqing Campus City .The results of this research are summarized in the final chapter.
