Research On The Self-Organizing Of The TPL Enterprises

The third-party logistics (TPL) is the main form and developing orientation of modern logistics. Compared with the developed countries, our country's third-party logistics starts late while growing rapidly. The self-organizing ability of our country's TPL enterprises is not so strong for the reason of transformed from the traditional transport enterprises, storage enterprises or freight agents, still needs to be cultivated to adapt the changeable exterior environments.The objective of this dissertation is to enrich the growth theory of enterprises and the TPL theory by analyzing the self-organizing conditions and dynamical mechanism of the TPL enterprises based on the self-organization theory, also to direct the development of our country's TPL enterprises by applying the theory innovations to reality.Based on the above subject, the research work of the dissertation includes: inducing the core concepts and analytical methods of the TPL theory and the self-organization theory; analyzing the self-organizing basis of the TPL enterprises from three aspects as the environment, the organization and the mechanism, and also their relations with self-organization; analyzing the conditions and procession of self-organizing of the TPL enterprises, and conceiving a self-organizing model; reviewing the self-organizing status of our country's TPL enterprises, and giving some suggestions.The contributions and conclusions made by the dissertation are as following:1. The TPL enterprises should adjust themselves according to the environment changes, and amend the system environment on the aspects as policy, social credit, and personnel, to set up good conditions for self-organizing.2. The organization structures of the TPL enterprises formed in different phases are the most important exhibition of self-organization; they are the consequences of the self-organizing of the TPL enterprises.3. The TPL enterprises'operation goes along under the mechanisms as environment-exchange, driving, coupling, controlling and conforming. It is the core to form and amend these mechanisms for self-organizing.4. Following with the operation scale extending, the logistics technologies and management concepts renewing, pushed by the fluctuations inside and outside, the TPL enterprises lose their stability and turn to higher levels. 5. The information management mechanism is the order parameter during the self-organizing evolvement of the TPL enterprises. It dominates the behavior of the sub-system of the TPL enterprises.6. The self-organizing ability of our country's TPL enterprises is elementary, yet needs to be cultivated through the ways as building the modern enterprise system, boosting up the core competence and establishing the team-learning organization.
