Along with the development of service economy,people pay more and more attention to service. For the manufacturing enterprise, because of furious competition and technology innovation, product goes the same in qulity and function. Being recongnized as a part of product, service has become an important tool in carrying out different strategy of enterprise. The service enhancement phenomenon of manufacturing industry makes people realize that service has become more and more important to manufacturing industry, and service has become an indispensable part of manufacturing industry. Due to the fact that the serviceis becoming more and more important and powerful, manufacturers realized that it is one of the best weapons of competition in today's complicated, differentiated marketplace. Success often means offering excellent service and meeting customer's expectation. But the study on service innovation is less and most of them are in service industry, only a few are in manufacturing industry. This make my study has significance in both theory and practice.On the basic of the study of driving force of service innovation, and think of the character of manufacturing industry enterprise, we constructed a model named driving force model of service innovation of manufacturing. Then we make an analysis of service innovation strategy on the basic of this model, and give cases at the same time. Some research shows that the competitive advantages of the enterprise are relative to its resource and ability. According to this view, the chooesen of the service innovation strategy is influence by its resource and ability on service innocation. So we give several indexes to descrip these resource and ability. These indexes are given by the analysis of the four-dimensional model of service innovation. Make factor analysisi on these indexes. As a result, we use three kinds of ability, the ability of service research and development, the ability of service managrment and the ability to serve customer, to denotate the indexes. The manager of enterprise must consider of these three kinds of ability when making choose of service innovation stratege.
