Mininum wage is the amount workers should be paid during legal working time or the time based on the contract signed by the work units and employees, on the premise that employees have provided normal labour. Minimum wage system has a very short history and foreign research of minimum wage focus on outcomes to economy. In our country, few researchers study minimum wage. The thesis studies the basic situation of minimum wage in China through the description of big cities' minimum wage situation, comparing the ratio between minimum wage standard and city's average wage, and a research on the living line, dressing and food line, developing line. Applying with the economics and statistics theory, we choose some scientific minimum wage measurement models to analysis 35 big cities in China substantially, set up a minimum wage measurement model with variable tests on economics method and statistics method, and bring forward a scientific adjusting minimum wage model. We measure minimum wage standard of big cities using these methods mentioned method above in order to supply useful information for government.
