With the acceleration of urbanization rate and the increasing of residents 'disposable income, China townspeople's consumption for housing is expanding , moreover, In the nearest several years, the price of housing has kept rising, so Chinese townspeople's housing affordability has becoming a new hot spot. Under this circumstance, the research on the proper zone of House Price-income Ratio for china and the price level and the Chinese townspeople's housing affordability, especially the deep positive analysis for Guangzhou are significant both in theory and in reality.Firstly, this paper introduces the index of house price-income ratio and adopts the qualitative analysis combined with the quantitative analysis to analyze the rational range of our country residents' house-affordability .According to our country's actual conditions, the rational range about house price-income ratio is fixed to 5 -8. Then the paper presents major influencing factors for Chinese townspeople's housing affordability-housing price level, family disposable income, and the credit sustainment of housing consumption and so on.Based on the above theory, the paper takes Guangzhou for example by positive analysis, respectively from Time-sequence analysis, transverse contrast analysis (compare with House Price-income Ratio of Beijing,Shanghai,Shenzhen)income structure analysis aspects to present the situation of Guangzhou townspeople's housing affordability, The result express that it's really difficult for the lower-income families to purchase a house while the middle-class families' housing affordability is gradually becoming improving, but now it is still excess the upper limit -eight times. Then the paper analyzes the deep factors which result in the too high housing price. At last, according to above research, the author puts up forward strategic Plans to improve the Guangzhou residents' housing affordability.
