The Advantage Of Backwardness And Economic Leapfrogging Development In Xinjiang

Economic Development is the most important thing for our party, it is also necessary for us to realize the common prosperity and progress of the whole nation. As the process of globalization gets faster and faster, our nation has made world-known progress in economic development. However, as time goes on, the unbalance in development between different regions becomes more and more obvious. This has become a severe obstacle for our nation and society's further development. How to clearly measure the such unbalances between the western and estern parts, and make scientific coping strategy to balance different aspects in economic development locally is a problem China has toface and solve now.Xinjiang lies in the northwest of China, and is the biggest undeveloped province with many minorities.Therefore, how to make use of the resources we have to accelerate the economic development, turn the advantages in resources to economic development, and decrease the differences between the eastern part of China, has always been an important task we face in order to develop our economy. Currently, this is also a key issue for us to balance regional difference in economic development and build a harmonic society. Based on past experiences from undeveloped regions across the world, the author thinks it very important for Xinjiang to make use of its advantages of backwardness sufficiently to decrease the economic difference compared to the eastern provinces, and realize our province's fast economic development.Therefore, in this article, the author first introduces the basic theory about the advantage of backwardness. After that, based on the essence, characteristics and their relationship with economic developments, the author analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of backwardness for our economy, and suggests that it is necessary and practical for Xinjiang to realize fast economic development using the advantages of late development. At present, there are two aspects in the advantages of late development for Xinjiang. One is the inside advantages, i.e., geographic, resource advantages, and the other is the outside advantages, i.e., opportunity and study advantages. However, there are also disadvantages of late development, like lack of capital, human resources, and environmental resources in Xinjiang. Thus, for the future development of Xinjiang, we need to make full use of the advantage of late development while trying to avoid the negative effects of late development. Only in this way can we have fast economic development in Xinjiang.Therefore, in the end, based on the regional characteristics, combined with the current economic development across the world, this article propose some ways to faster economic development in Xinjiang. First, we need to make sure of scientific development; second, we should adjust and optimize the structure of our economy; third, we need to try to bring in more people with skills and fresh ideas; fourth, we should develop an open economy. These strategies will finally help with fast development of our economy.
