Entering the 21th century, China's economy is keeping high growth, people's life level is growing. Under the market economy's drive, every walk of life shows prosperous. Because of China's economy's huge pulling, aviation transportation is developing rapidly. China's civil fleet's rapid growth is driving MRO's rapid development. While aviation transportation's cost, especially oil price is growing rapidly, which makes all airlines have to look for effect ways of reducing costs. Certainly reducing the aviation maintenance cost is the first. While modern civil aviation maintenance enterprises will face some challenges, such as new technology, limited production capabilities, aviation service mode and maintenance human resources.Aiming at this reality and investigation, combing micro-economy theory and reform measures taken in the process of market economy's transform, and on the basis of lucubrating the MRO, this thesis puts forward series of methods and countermeasure, then concludes that MRO industry has basis and environment in China. MRO industry's development not only ensures China's civil aviation's rapid development, but also boosts China's economy's development.Some theories, such as industry economics, strategy management, are cited. MRO's birth and development history are introduced in this thesis. In the contrast of domestic and abroad, introducing demand's influence on the industry , finding the main causes of MRO's development's lag in China, through enumerating the close relations between MRO and civil aviation industry development, demonstrates the necessity of developing MRO in China. In summarizing the methods and countermeasures of MRO development, combining foreign advancement with China's reality, it try its best to make workable.Through this research, it is necessary to develop China's MRO industry if they want to develop China's civil aviation industry. MRO is the basis of civil aviation, or "two heads abroad"(buying aircrafts abroad, repairing abroad), will seriously restrict China's civil aviation's development, while it puts forward series of suggestions to airlines, enterprises and departments which prepares to entering the MRO. Finally it proves the theories as successful MRO enterprise.
