This passage discusses how termination of plan management system and rapid development of state-owned enterprises after China's entry into WTO. We have established gradually a modern company system adapted to market competition mechanism by introducing advance management experience abroad actively, incorporating the real operation situation at home, changing business idea and undertaking management innovation, system innovation and mechanism innovation. The salary system is the most important, most effective and most challenging management system, which plays a critical role in the development of the enterprise. In order to propel the sustained, healthy and rapid development of the enterprise, we should renovate traditional salary management system and break our former even distribution system that characterizes as vague description between one's position and his responsibility, unlimited authority, chaotic business process and loose organization. It is urgent to establish a salary system with a propellant mechanism and a restrained mechanism mating our modern company system. Research of salary management has become a major task of human resources management in enterprises, because it related to the interest of every employee in the enterprise. Whether we could make full use of the propellant mechanism and restrained mechanism of salary system, making employees to be active and creative on work with limited amount of gross salary is critical to prosperity or deterioration of the enterprise. This paper discusses history of modern company system during enterprise development. This paper mainly discusses connotation of modern company system, relationship between enterprise and employees, relationship between modem enterprise and salary system. The paper also studies some shortcomings of several current salary system that frequently used in enterprises and also establishes a salary distribution model.
