The subject of this thesis was discovered when I participated in a development project called'the logistics quality management system of a provincial mobile company's purchasing center', which was contracted by a research center of BUPT. The aim of developing this system is to provide a platform for telecommunication providers to purchase necessities, determine their quality and manage relevant information so as to achieve the automation of the purchasing circuit. The reason why I chose this subject is to combine my professional knowledge of multi-media application with the practice of logistics information, to conduct widening research on the system's reliability on the basis of its basic functions of logistics quality management so that the system can be at the service of different telecommunication providers in their efforts to achieve logistics automation.Starting with the application of J2EE technology in logistics automation, and by applying the module of MVC programming, I succeeded in creating a quality management module, meeting the system's core requirement. Meanwhile, I have tried to bring forth new ideas in theoretical research, separating the system's reliability into two parts: security and mobility. To guarantee the system's security, I created, in a comprehensive way, six security mechanisms respectively with their own characteristics, by a scientific mixture of the already existing security mechanisms and the safe programming method J2EE.To bring about mobility, I developed a WAP mobile logistics sub-system to support browsing the system through mobile equipments. This system's reliability that I have achieved is most outstanding, compared with those of other existing logistics information systems. This achievement is a result of the combination of an in-depth analysis of the system's characteristics and the application of the network technology. The principal aim of this thesis is to raise the security level of the logistics system to that of the e-commerce and introduce logistics information to the field of mobile telecommunication. In the process of my research on the system's reliability, I have enhanced relevant theoretical research, such as HTTPs security connection based on SSL, RBAC's role-based access control and RSA's algorism relating to digital signature, and applied them to the development of the reliability mechanisms. In this way, I have attained to the aim of combining theories with practice. The thesis is the summary of experience learned from the application of J2EE technology to the Web Service during my postgraduate period.
