Study & Application On Project Management Of Automobile Parts Development

To boost up the competition capability of Chinese automobile parts manufacturers, self-research and self-design ability is the primary element. Nowadays, project management methods are widely used and have become a important role in the improvement of self-research and self-design ability. While with the rapid development of information technology, especial the applications of PDM/CAPP system, a special project tool aim to solve the job assignment, workflow and the integration with other systems should be studied to satisfy the requirement of automobile parts manufacturers.First, in this thesis, the method and the application situation of the project management used in the period of automobile parts design are researched and studied,include the knowledgo system of current project management, ISO/TS16949 standard,concurrent engineering,etc. Considering the project management of automobile parts must be carried out under the control of ISO/TS16949 system, a viewpoint that project management need to be integrated with product data and assignments is proposed. Through detailed requirement analysis, a model of project management 3 layer space is built, which realizes the integration of product data, assignment and project management. Base on this, the author proposes that PDM/CAPP can be used as the software platform for project management of automobile parts.Secondly,based on the commercial soft-MIT PDM/CAPP, this thesis makes out a general functional programming on the project management subsystem of automobile parts development. Aimed at the characteristics of project management of automobile parts development, it also schemes out the functions on project planning, project assignment, project monitor and project document management, respectively, which are applied to the development of project management subsystem of MIT PDM/PLM3.6 system.Lastly, in order to validate the above research, this paper, taking Cheng Du aviation molding corporation for example, presents the practical value of project management subsystem of automobile parts development. Furthermore, it is approved that this research is feasible and practicable.
