With the development of world economy and the improving of people'living standard, travel has been an important way of living for the man in modern society. Tourism has been one of most important industries which have the fastest developing speed, vitality and potential. Sport tourism is important part of tourism, is new kind of industry which was produced by the combination of sports and tourism. Recent years, with the translation of peoples'vocational idea to health. Its development attracted the attention from the world .Especially in Japan, Europe and America, enormous market of tourism has been formed. Sports tourism was started very late in China, but developed very quickly, especially with China'sentry WTO and the future 2008 Beijing Olympic Games which provide good opportunity for the development of sports tourism. for instance,"Chinese sports practical travel"in 2001 brought national travel bureau successfully propel sports tourism's developement. Sports tourism still has great development alpotential and developmental room. This research focuses on Chongqing. Chongqing province by using way of document, experttalking and real exploring way and so on. Discussion and study were done for sometheories and practical problems in the exploitation of Chongqing sports tourism resources.By means of literature reniews and inwcstigatioins we try to study and analyze the characteristics ,the distributionand .We utilized sports physical science, travel economics, travel system theory and so on to construct the mode of sports tourism resource and put forward proper exploitation strategy for Chongqing's sports tourismresource.
