The beef safety traceability information management system was designed and developed for beef domestic safety consuming and the world trade, solving beef safety accidents, defending consumer's legitimate rights and interests. Nowadays large-scaled beef producing enterprises manage their information confusedly and some useful information was wasted. It's difficult to trace beef safety and quality.Based on the advanced ideals of traceability system home and aboard, beef safety and quality control and tracing patterns were conceived and designed, which includes cattle breeding, breeding management, cattle migration, disease prevention and cure, drug using, slaughtering and analyses, package and storage, and supermarket sales, This system can help us trace beef safety information in the whole beef chain.The system based on beef safety production, such as beef cattle breeding, feeding,disease control, slaughter and division, examination and quarantine, sales, etc.,adopting "RFID+ Bar Codes" full process identification technology towards the beef cattle and the production beef in order to guarantee to trace each production links.The software adopted JSP to design object-oriented dynamic homepage and adopted My SQL to design the database, using B/S (Browser/Server) system framework and MVC (Model View Controller) design pattern, and then placed the management system on the Internet, and it implemented the management of beef traceability system via Internet. In the process operation system, all levels producers typed the information about each links of beef production into the network database. The data needed to collect and type including the information of cultivation, slaughter, process and sale, when the data were typed, the ear tag could be took as the exclusive mark(when sale took the retail code as the mark), forming a connecting interrelation between the preceding and the following. The consumer could trace back to the cattle's information of cultivation, slaughter etc., as well as the farm could track the cattle's information of slaughter and sale etc.. In this way, it could ensure the legal rights of consumer; in addition, it can help to find the links with problem in 30 minutes.The work team of this system includes 2 functional modules: background information management system (BIMS) and foreground information inquiry system (FIIS). The BIMS satisfies administrator to type, modify and delete information, and the FIIS satisfies corporation and consumer to inquire the information about the quality of beef, and the information about growth and related of cattle.Adopting fairly advanced RFID technology to mark the unit, it not only can realize to auto-collect data, but also can improve the accuracy of marking the unit. The Bar Code, which was wildly used in retail trade, was introduced to beef production and sales. The Bar Code was strict corresponded to the ear tag of cattle, in order to keep the integrity of the information and fluidity of the trace back.The software adopts an JSP to design object-oriented dynamic homepage, and it allows the browser and the server dynamic alternation. The part of created dynamic contents was wrapped and run in the server, and it could edit and debugging separateness not affected by the layout and style of browser,. When the system needs to modify or add some module, the developers add the relevant module easily with JavaBean module, and the marker was supported by JSP. The MVC design pattern and B/S network frame have clear structure, easy to maintain and update. Adopting My SQL to design the database, it has 11 tables, ensuring the data completely.The research of the system, implements to trace beef safety information in the whole beef chain via internet for the first time. Not only the producers and sellers can inquire the origin and whither of production through the system, but also the general consumer can inquire the origin of beef and the basic information of producer through the system. It safeguards the transparent and safety factor of beef consumption. According to the speed of network, the quality control department and the consumer can trace back the beef to the breeding source in 30 minutes.
