Under the age of knowledge economy, the key factor for enterprises to keep advantage in innovation is to use the capital of intelligence of employees. As the development of team——the core of enterprise's innovations, knowledge teams have become the platform for enterprises to use the value of intelligence workers, and the key unit for enterprise to improve their capability of competition. An effective mechanism of pay for performance is the key factor for knowledge teams to survive and develop. Thus, the compensation based on knowledge team has become a hotspot of HR and compensation management.In this paper, we begin our research in the characteristic of knowledge workers, and try to give our own definition of team and team compensation, in order to do research in the system of compensation based on knowledge team. The principal part of this paper is how to decide the base pay of knowledge team based on ability and the performance pay of knowledge team. Finally, we set a project based on team performance, a team of Consult Company as our subject, and introduce the process for how to design and bring it into effect.We hope that we can construct a compensation system based on the result of team for knowledge team, which emphasize the contribution to team based on individual ability. This system can improve the enthusiasm of team,the ability of individual and the performance of knowledge team. The system of compensation has value in practice. We hope that it can do some favors for compensation system of knowledge team in other enterprises.
