Performance management (PM) makes the goal of organization and individual relate or integrate, which is a procedure of establishing conformable understanding towards the would-be achieved goal for attaining the organization efficiency in the process of individual management and development. Accompanied with the in-depth research of Human Resources Management, the PM not only obtains the general acceptance, its fundamental research also has the further development. Corporate culture is the consciousness of community competition performed in social activities and managements guided by the civilization-win concept. It can be loosely defined as the value, moral, spiritual pursue, life custom, thinking mode and so on. The invisible instruction and influence made by corporate culture decide the way of PM in its implementation and performance. In turn, the corporate culture finally performs its function through the value evaluation system and value assignment system. In other words, PM is helpful to the transition from the corporate value to the comparatively unified value in all staff. So the relation between corporate culture and PM is complementary. It is significant for corporate manager that how to deal with the relation well. Based on this, the thesis has chosen an overlapping proposition: PM research based on corporate culture.The research of match between corporate culture and PM carried out by Chinese scholars usually emphases on the corporate culture build or the differences and relation between the two to some extent. The thesis selects Corporate Culture as the breakthrough point, considering that Business Management will present different features under diverse Corporate Culture. However, this thesis stresses the different features of PM on the condition of different corporate culture. The thesis discusses and analyzes the types of clan, hierarchy, adhocracy and market in PM referenced the Quinn classified method to corporate culture. The way of PM in different corporate culture analysis is followed like this: analyzing of corporate management features in culture, defining of the main content in PM according to the features and establishing the PM system accord with the corporate culture. So at the beginning of the thesis, the theories of corporate culture and PM are reviewed firstly. Then the correlation between the two aspects and PM internal synergism based on the corporate culture are discussed further. The PM in different corporate culture is analyzed in detail as the main content of the thesis. Finally, a case of IBM proofs the previous arguments appropriately.
