As nonrenewable resources, the land is the basis on which human beings live anddevelop. Every country must make reasonable use of the land at any time. According to thecharacter of the region, land is divided into two categories city land and village land. Cityland is more precious compared with village land, because it has more advantageousgeographical conditions, larger investment and higher economic value. With the speedydevelopment of the socialist market economy, land value shows greater importance and alsoexerts larger influence on continuous development of the economy and the society. The oldland system of the planned economy does not adapt to the demand of the market economydevelopment. So we have to face the problem how to make reasonable and efficient use ofthe city land.Based on the current theories and the drawbacks of the relevant system, the articlefocuses on the study of urban land management in Wenzhou, and puts forward someviewpoints and methods to amend for the flaws. This article consists of seven sections.Chapter 1 is about the introduction. In this part, the thesis illustrates the backgroundand significance herein both in the macroscopic and microscopic stances and then puts forththe research approaches, technological route and content frame of this paper. In Chapter 2and Chapter 3, the author makes reference of overseas experiences, and makes analysis ofthe domestic practice of urban land management. With this understanding, theoretical baseson urban land management were enumerated in details. Chapter 4 elaborates on urban landmanagement, and then the current situation and problems in urban land management ofWenzhou city were addressed systematically and thoroughly, such as urban land managementpattern, urban land use planning, urban land assessment, urban land reservation and landmarket. Following in the same part, the causes of the issues in urban land management ofWenzhou were analyzed and discussed with a keen insight, and hence it provides solutions tothe problems mentioned. Chapter 4 lays solid foundation for Chapter 5 and Chapter 6. InChapter 5 and Chapter 6 the basic framework of Wenzhou urban land management isdesigned accordingly and then follow the suggestions for Wenzhou urban land management.The conclusion and prospect of the research is offered in Chapter7.
