The competition between modern enterprises, in the final analysis, is the competition for the human resources. For the petroleum enterprise, which were of serious planned economy and called"China's economic lifeline", with the spread of reservoir management pattern, how to adapt to the new situation and the new changes, to master the key to enterprises human resource development and management, to establish a scientific and reasonable staffs performance appraisal system, so that we can rational allocation, develop and manage the human resource effectively, arouse the staffs enthusiasms, initiative and creativity, improve their competitiveness and development capability, it is very important and realistic.On the basis of researching the performance appraisal theory carefully, this paper analyzes the present performance appraisal system of oil-extraction worker in oilfield, and the necessity of reconstruction of the performance appraisal system. Referring to the theory of the development and management of modern enterprise human resource and the performance appraisal experience of successful enterprise's worker, this paper builds up the new frame of performance appraisal system of oil-extraction worker from post analysis, appraisal index and appraisal method. At last, this paper analyses the question about application of appraisal result.
