Well educated and skilled employees are the most precious asset in the software companies, and the proper human resource management is the key factor for the software companies to win in the market. In the meantime the characteristics of knowledge-workers and the characteristics of the work process put forward a new challenge to the human resource management of the software companies. The Victory Software Company faces a special problem because of specials, such as profession, region and the development background etc.After explaining the researching background, goal, meaning, and methods used in this paper, this paper firstly discusses the definition of human resource and human resource management, explains how the human resource management originated and developed, describes the content of the modern human resource management and compares the modern human resource management with the traditional one, analyzes the developing trend of human resource management. Secondly, this paper briefly describes the conditions of Victory Software Company, analyzes its characteristics in working process and human resource. Next through questionnaire survey, statistics analysis, individual interview, this paper evaluates the level of the company's human resource management, and finds the problems that should be solved. According to the conditions of the company and the problems the company faces, this paper discusses what the human resource management of this company should be like and what principles should be obeyed in the improvement. Based on the successful experiences of other similar companies, this paper comes up with some suggestions to improve the practice of the company's human resource management. Finally, this paper concludes the main opinions and the shortages of this study.
