Study On Sustainable Development In Bohai Sea Rim Region

Getting along with many problems such as energy crisis and environment deteriorating, sustainable development is becoming the focus of research. Bohai sea rim region faces the same problems as well. It must carry out sustainable development to resolve these problems. And the structure of this paper is as follows:First, this paper summarizes the history and researching trends of sustainable development theory and sustainable development appraising indicators system to bring forward researching route.And then, according to sustainable development theories and city function affiliation theories as well as status in this region, this paper concludes sustainable development emphases in this region and builds a sustainable development appraising indicators system. It includes three systems: pressure system, state system, response system. And there are five sustainable development essentials: zoology, environment, society, development, science and technology. Via analyzing these five essentials, it sums up: zoology is the key to the region sustainable development; development is the foundation; environment is the condition; society is the aim; science and technology is the guarantee.After building sustainable development appraising indicators system in Bohai sea rim region, this paper calculates every system's score by using principal components analysis in order to discovery the existing problems in this region: city function affiliation feebleness, lack of core city, human resource quiescence and so on.At last, this paper put forward six suggestions: carving up three major economy regions; establishing core city and consolidating function affiliation; developing third industry; co-building north ship center; developing extroverted economy; expanding free trade zone.
