Since China entering into WTO, our market admittance mechanism has gradually been open to foreign countries, this will attract more and more foreign investment to our market, and our printing industry will face a great challenge. After experiencing innovation, adjustment, development and adaptation of market economy, printing industry of Anhui province began to boost up in the late 90s of 20 century. And it accelerated with a great speed at the beginning of the new century. But with the high-speed development of Anhui's economy and the implementation of "culture strengthening province" strategy by Anhui provincial government, this has brought enormous development space to Anhui printing industry. At the same time, printing enterprises of nearby provinces have also stretched antenna to our market, all of which will make printing industry of our province be confronted with much more fierce competition. Thus to study the development countermeasures of Anhui printing industry has an important practice meaning to promote rapid and healthy development of Anhui printing industry.This paper firstly analyzes the status quo and points out existing problems of Anhui's printing industry with accurate statistic analysis. Then it also analyzes and discusses the external environment and developing trend of Anhui's printing industry by using the method of PEST. And according to the industry's market risk, development opportunity, advantages and disadvantages, the author makes the analysis of SWOT. Lastly, on the basis of this, the author puts forward the overall development thought of Anhui printing industry and presents some suggestions and countermeasures such as adjusting industry structure, implementing integration of industry, building up printing group manufacturing model, breeding leading enterprises in the industry, speeding up the improvement of technology, constructing industry park, adjusting regional distribution, accelerating the implementation of modern enterprise system, boosting up innovation ability, improving core competitiveness and so on to realize the sustainable development of Anhui printing industry. On one hand, the author indicates that Anhui should speed up the enterprise group development of printing industry. On the other hand, Anhui should properly control the number of printed publication enterprises and concentrate on setting up specialized printing enterprises to expand the market share in the province and to develop the market out of the province.
