| The airline network is the foundation of every airlines'existence, and designing airline network with scientific methods is important for it's development. Airlines'other work such as flight schedule, operation control, revenue management are all based on the airline network, surround reasonable layout about airline network. Whether the airline network is reasonable or not has far-reaching effect on benefit of every airlines. Shenzhen Airlines is one of the largest privately owned carriers in China, whose aim at becoming a low cost carrier with China's individual character, also faces rapid development and fierce competition in aviation industry. So planning its airline network scientifically is more important and urgent than ever before.First of all, the article analyses the environments of Shenzhen Airlines inside and outside comprehensively. Based on the strategist positioning of Shenzhen Airlines and all kinds of resources available, a new airline network structure, Spider-Web Network, is introduced in detail for it. Then, principal components analysis and cluster analysis are applied to make an all-around evaluating and choosing the most competitive base-airport. At last, an example of the airline network planning at Chong Qing base-airport is given to illuminate the methods of how to plan airline network scientifically. The conclusions all above can support and guide the future airline network designing for Shenzhen Airlines effectively in practice.The base data of this article are collecting by seasonal changes in the airline rather than traditional calendric statistics, for holding the market demand accurately. At the same time, a series of methods such as multi-variable statistical analysis, price elasticity of demand analysis and input-output analysis are introduced to evaluating and choosing the base-airport and routes for Shenzhen Airlines, and procedured by SPSS to solve the base-airport choosing model. |
