In 21st century , for our plants , we compete not only the cost, but also the service and the speed of new product put into the market. So the competition is the compact of a series of conditions. The topic is base on the requirement of customers, summarize the experiences of the case study of how to use VE methodology in IT product mechanical design. In this topic, the main object is to show how to use VE methodology to get low cost and short introduction time for new products.There are eight parts in this theme. The chapter one is mainly about the original of VE and the status of VE using in china. This chapter has also discussed the vision of using VE in enterprises. The chapter two is mainly about the analysis technical of product requirement. In this part, we focus on the definition of requirement and requirement marking, and also how to transfer the customer product requirement into the product function requirement base on the customer requirement. Through this way we can define the importance of the product functions. The chapter three is the core of VE activity, and it's also the core of this theme. In this part, the main content is how to do function analysis using systematic technique. In this chapter, we get the systematic diagram of E product using the function analysis systematic technique (FAST). Then through the relations of requirements and the functions, parts and functions, we can pass the customer requirement index to parts requirement. So we can get the function evaluation value of the parts. The chapter four is mainly about the product cost analysis. The cost control is one of the main targets of VE activities. So in this chapter, we will mainly discuss the relative techniques on parts cost analysis. The same time, we can get the parts'cost index base on this analysis. So we can allocate the cost of parts by the cost index and do well preparation for the incoming value analysis. The chapter five is about how to get the innovation object and the innovation method. In this chapter, we mainly discuss the how to use the Dynamic Asymmetry Method (DAM) to do value evaluation and chose the VE study objects. On the same time, we also discuss the innovation methods we usually use in VE innovation. After we get the study objects, we should think out the problem solving method base on the innovation method and activities. In the end, we have done the evaluation for the problem solving methods and innovation performance. The chapter six is mainly about how to organize the VE activities. The VE activity is a systematic engineering. In this chapter, we have proved in the sight of project management that the key to take a successful VE activity is to do well VE project management. In conclusion, to manage a VE activity we should do two things, one is to do well planning, and the other is to do well process control.Up to now, we have discussed how to apply the VE methodology in IT product mechanical design. Chapter seven is the summary and prospect. In this chapter, it mainly talked the advantage and disadvantage of the VE management technology. Also it includes the study target of the future VE application. In order to perfect the VE application, it suggested that the futer VE should take the social responsibility into accuout, and also include the lean thinking and CE in VE activities. The last part, chapter eight is conclusion. In this part, it tells us that the article has showed us how to use VE management techniques in mechanical design of IT product. And the VE management techniques must be very applicable in the future.In this article, we have summarized the experience of using VE technique in A product mechanical design and on the same time show us how to do well VE activity planning and management. This can help us improve the design value. At last, I hope this article can help one who does product mechanical design management to find a new management model.
