| Along with the fast development of economy, automobile industry of China developed as well, following with the acute contests in automobile market. However, in many automobile manufacturing enterprises, especially in raw material purchasing , they still adopt the mode of stock managing. Under this mode, products are over-stocking, standard of service is declining, and the competing capacity is weak, they are the important elements which hinder the development of the enterprise. This article aims to make a feasible study on the application of a method of Vendor Managed Inventory, which can be used in the process of purchasing the raw materials of automobile manufacturing industry. Try to take F Company and M Company as examples to analysis the probability of using this method. The application of VMI method has great significance in stimulation those manufacturers to improve their raw materials and stock managing level, and promote the core-competitiveness of the enterprises as well.The summary of the article is as follows:There are six chapters all together. Chapter one is about the introduction, which mainly contains the purpose, significance and main content of this article.Chapter two is mainly about the concept, principle, flow process of raw material, and provide the stock managing method--- method of MVI. Furthermore summarize and analysis the motivation, principle and running structure, practicing conditions of VIM method, including its developing in and out of our country.Chapter three analysis the purchasing mold, pattern and strategy of raw material in automobile manufacturing, and find out the major problems in the current situation of stocking and managing in automobile manufacturing industry from inner and outer circumstances of the target company. The major problems are mainly showed in the following aspects:(1) Unreasonable providing chain stock managing mode;(2) Unreasonable providing internet construction;(3) Improper application of information technology and new technology in logistics, including weak respond of logistics system.(4) Serious module sectionalism inside the enterprise, lack of the thought of all-in-one.(5) The evaluation of performance in the enterprise hinders reasonably operation of logistics.(6) Too many problems in enterprise's production system.(7) Lay-off stock controlling technique.(8) Insufficient investigation of market makes weak respond.(9) Longer period of order, bigger proportion and occupation of fund, longer procedure of cargo transportation, and more loss in logistics, etc. Chapter four makes a framework on carrying out VMI method in raw material in automobile manufacturing enterprises, and analysis the situation and elements which can influence the result after using VMI method.Chapter five testifies the actual effect after taking method of VMI by analyzing some evidence. This part consists of comparison between before and after taking the method, the stock prime cost, actual performance of profit and the effect of taking CMI method by which it can promote the level of the enterprise's profit, and providing new solution to problems in this field, accumulating experience as well.Achievements of the article: based on the analysis of some basic theories about VMI method and study of some real case, the writer analysis the feasibility of practicing VMI method in automobile manufacturing enterprises. The study shows that an enterprise can adjust measures to the local conditions of their company to adopt VMI method to enhance the bilateral corporation between the two sides, and at the same time, increasing the core competition ability of their own enterprise, and finally achieve the result of win-win.In the successive study, the paper will discuss this subject further to adapt to the atmosphere of global manufacturing strategy and globalization in automobile manufacturing enterprises. Therefore, we'll know the way that Japanese TOYOTA, HONDA, American GM, FORD, and even some other major company's technology and experience by applying VMI method. |
