Manufacturing Industry has increasingly become the major driving force of the world economic competition and social development. However, small batch and multi-type production, the shortening product life cycle, as well as improving the quality of products have brought new challenges to the manufacturing industry. How agile manufacturing systems, flexible and responsive to the development of new products and market demand, will become the focus of manufacture of this century, and Reconfigurable Manufacturing System under the environment of Agile Manufacturing is an effective way to solve the problem. Based on the product family of the manufacturing cell layout of facilities in Reconfigurable manufacturing systems is the core content of this article. This paper takes the production of a practical problem of FAW Transmission Company Limited as an example. Use graph theory, integral planning and improvement of grey model mathematical method to research on the delineation of the product family, manufacturing cell planning, and reconfigurable manufacturing equipment units and so on.In this paper, innovation is as follows:1. Different form the standards of previous product family, the paper selection process based on the coding line, without taking into account the previous standard product design, because this paper is mainly on the product family of Manufacturing System and do not consider appearance. Examples show that, although some products look very different, but the distance is very small cluster.2. Based on the product family cluster established a mathematical model of reconfigurable manufacturing cell planning. And an optimization and clustering algorithm to solve. The model successfully joined the task of processing, processing capacity and other reasonable restraints, then select appropriate manufacturing to constitute a reconfigurable manufacturing unit from manufacturing resources available collection following the processing technology.3. Improve the relevance of grey models by AHP and entropy method and get the mathematical model of equipment selection. Coordinate with the establishment of a multi-line equipment layout optimization model, and use it in practical problems. This paper study on Product Family Reconfigurable under agile manufacturing in order to reach the establishment of products based on the best reconfiguration of the equipment manufacturing unit for the purpose of the layout. Through the five chapters of analysis to complete this study. Chapter one, the I characteristics of manufacturing systems under the environment of agile manufacturing. Reconfigurable Manufacturing System and the significance of the current study the status quo at home and abroad. Stated reconfigurable manufacturing system design studies, discuss the Reconfigurable Manufacturing System Design and Research of the status both at home and abroad, presented the objectives, content and overall structure research of this paper.Chapter two mainly discussed the product family cluster approach. Based on the proposed route of the string to get comparative analysis of the product family cluster, and take the 11 kinds of axis processing online in FAW, a gearbox Ltd. as an example. Finally get the collection of product family parts of cluster. The results show the similarity of polymerization of product family members in the manufacturing process.Based on the analysis of the road, so the components gathered have similar process, which will help improve the speed of manufacturing, and prepare for the Reconfigurable manufacturing cell planning in the third chapter.Chapter three introduced the concept of reconfigurable manufacturing cell, from agility of reconfigurable manufacturing unit, flexibility and the sharing of resources to carry out. Then to establish a planning unit of the mathematical model through described of reconfigurable manufacturing unit. Then present an optimization - the algorithm manufacturing resources, clustering - manufacturing resource clustering algorithm for solving organization. And through FAW from the second chapter of a transmission shaft of each product family in a parts list for processing and verification of the model and algorithms availability.Chapter four, the establishment of reconfigurable manufacturing equipment selection evaluation system. Improve the relevance of grey models by AHP and entropy method, and then get the mathematical model of equipment selection. To empower the combination of indicators of AHP and entropy method, improve reliability and feasibility of the selection of Reconfigurable System using grey Correlation Analysis Methods under incomplete information. Through the reconfigurable manufacturing facilities layout of the abstract unit, with the coordinates of the establishment of a multi-line equipment layout optimization model, and used in practical problems. Finally, examples of a transmission company, FAW-axis processing reconfigurable manufacturing unit on the layout of equipment, confirmed its reliability and practicality.Chapter five, sum up the results of research work in this paper, and make a further prospect on this research in the field of future work.
