Since 1990s, third-party supplier has been the tendency of industrial enterprise, especially for the Standardized management of foreign-funded enterprises in purchasing managements Third-party supplier has its specific characteristics of invisibility, integration and value. Success or not for Third-party supplier, making full use or not outer complementarities in purchasing, will greatly affect the enterprises'compatibility and profitability.The assessment to the Third-party suppliers is an important method to improve the supply chain. The company should think about their potential power for now and future, and it is very important to setup the suitable supplier evaluation index system and scientific evaluation way. To evaluate Third-party supplier of in-direct material should be comprehensive, normally assessment factors include lead time, quality, technical ability, business management, service and cost, and use linear scale model to record, finally do the contrast and optimization choose according to the score of the suppliers. Especially for the key factors, it could be used six sigma to do the supplier management, setup related model, and analysis. Such as lead time, could use SPC, control chart to analysis and evaluate this factor, through the result to find the problems on time, and do the adjustment to provent; for the quality and price, it could be used FMEA to find all the failure effects in the procedure, and category the effects according to the risk priority number, then resolve it. Also we could use the software MINITAB to do the statistics and charts. The third-party vendors supply more value and experience, large procurement cost savings for the enterprise. Through the implementation, it proved that the usage of Third-party supplier is brand new cooperation model, effective in improving the competitiveness.
